2003 Chevy Cavalier cranks but won't start

A 2003 Cavalier 2.2l cranks but will only start when pushed and in 2nd gear.

Any idea what it may be?

What exactly do you mean by this? Get me unconfused and I'll attempt to help you. If its cranking why do you have to push and in 2nd gear?

Find the clutch switch and jumper it and see what happens.

This is a very simple diagnosis. You only push start your car if your starter is bad or your battery is weak. I have to agree to the last replier, try jump starting your car, if it starts then buy a new battery. Also, thank the poor guy who's been pushing your car. I hope this helps. Larry
