I thank you greatly in advance for taking the time to look at my question. An after market keyless entry/power window unit was added to my car by the previous owner.

For a short period the locks would not always react right away to the remote. And then I noticed the lock button in the car was not always reacting either and the windows had the same reaction. Finally neither worked. I looked and noticed that the ground had become disconnected at some point.

I reconnected the ground but neither the locks or windows worked. I tried changing out the two fuses and still nothing. Neither the windows or locks will react to the remote or the buttons inside the car.

My valet light still comes on.

Would you have any idea what the problem might be? I'd love to try to fix this myself. I let it go this winter but now it's getting too warm to not have the windows work!

If I double click the Unlock button, the dash lights blink twice and valet light goes off.

If I double click the Lock button, the dash lights blink twice and then the Valet light flashes.

If I double click the option button, the truck opens as it always has.

The unit is an Audiovox model AA925 Rev00

Thanks!

Regards,
Jeremy

You might want to go back to square one and get the manual:

And re-check the installation. They may have a troubleshooting section in it.

The manual does not have a trouble shooting section. I've read through it a few times and can't seem to find the problem. I just can't figure out with the locks & windows don't work but the trunk release does.

We can work off oem diagrams, but I'm not sure if that system it going to throw curveball into it, if it is affecting anything.

I'll post back tonight.

I would start off on the power windows, as the aftermarket system shouldn't affect that...maybe.
Besides it would be nice to have the windows over the locks anyways.

Thanks for posting that! The power windows were aftermarket too so I'm not sure if they followed the same plan.

Hmmmmmm....

Forgot that that was aftermarket, was thinking locks were.

Does the manual have an installation guide or any wiring diagrams?

I sent it to your email so you can read it.
