Try resetting it first otherwise you'll have ot go to ddealer to reprogram it. Turn the key on for 10 minutes or until the theft light goes out. Then turn teh key off then try tostart the car. That may take care of it.

I hate to say it, but you should take this repair to a dealer. To the best of my knowledge, they are the only ones with the proper equipment.

I replaced the ignition switch, went thru the programing procedure 7 times it cranks but is not getting any gas.
I put the old switch back in and it cranked right up. The old switch hangs up that is why I replaced it.

The car had a problem with turning the ignition key into running position. I had to "play" with the key turning it left and right in order to get in there and start the car. It worked like that for a while but now it doesn't move left or right. I was thinking to replace whole ignition lock but since the key doesn't move I'm afraid I'm not gonna be able to do that.
Anny sugestions?

Call a locksmith, if you cannot get the car started with key, they can come out and RR the switch on site, if you can get it running, drive to locksmith's shop.

Had a similar situation, where key broke off in ign. Cylinder, finally got it started and took to locksmith, 20 minutes later the broken piece was out and new key made.

Make sure to choose a reputable locksmith, BBB approved, been in business for years etc.
