2001 Chevy Cavalier advice

Looking at 2001 chevy cavalier for my daughter which will be her first car. It is in emacculate shape with new tires, brakes. It has been well maintained as I know the owner, how ever I don't know anything about the 2.4 engine and wanted to no of any negatives on them. The car is a z24 with auto trans, and has 95000 miles on the car. It is a beautiful car but not sure of the engine and mileage. It is clean with no visual leaks or wear. Any exsperiance or knowlege of engine life would be helpful. Most miles are highway.

My girlfriend has had 2 cavaliers, a 95 and 03. The mileage on the 03 is only 90,000 and the engine has been fine so far.

In general, some pretty odd things go wrong with this make of car. Mechanically things are sound, but the fan motors just whent bad on the 03, only 4 years of use. Also today some computer sensor/wiring is keeping the car from starting. I would not advise anyone to buy a cavalier, the quality is kind of cheap.
