MY BRAKE LIGHTS ONLY COME ON WHEN THE CAR IS NOT RUNNING. WHEN I START IT THEY DO NOT WORK. WHAT COULD THE PROBLEM BE?

THANKS

Welcome, does the high-mount brake lite work? If none work, check the stop/haz fuse. Use a testlite to check fuse circuit, should be hot all the time, check with engine running. If that checks out, check the circuits at the brake switch. Orange wire is feed to the brake switch, hot, white wire carries feed from the brake switch, hot when switch is activated.
