2000 Chevy Cavalier

I started driving and the battery light came on and off, then the abs light and seat belt light came on the lights became dim and I lost my speedometer. I was able to cost my way home but I would be able to excelerate but it would not shift. When I got home the brake light and check engine light came on along with all of the other lights. Any suggestions on what it might be
