I have a 98 caviler that the engine light comes on and then it start to shift hard. Also when I push the accelerator the car does not pick up speed. It is like it is not getting enough fuel. The code reader I have says injector malfunction or throttle position sesor switch A circut low out put.

Low tps voltage (code po122) will cause injector problems because the pcm uses tps voltage (and other sensor outputs) to determine fuel and timing settings.
The tps is not adjustable, only replaceable.
Tps voltage should start out at.5 to.7 volts at closed throttle to 4.5 to 5 volts at full throttle. Check with a scanner that has operational data or by backprobing the sensor with a voltmeter. One lead is ground, one has approx. 5 volts and the third will vary as mentioned above.
If variable voltage is different, replace tps.
Hope this helps, VIC

If so, a vote of confidence would be nice.
