What all does the t/p sensor control an operates how does effect the running of your car

The TP sensor is the throttle position sensor, one of the most important parts of the engines electrical system for fuel trim.

Basically it modifys the base signal for fuel injector open time. Or fuel trim if you will.

Under wot acceleration it can signal the injectors to put out 5X the normal amount of fuel.

Normally it just tells the computer how far the throttle is open and the rate of throttle change to maintain the proper fuel to air mixture.

Also if malfunctioning can cause vehicle to not start if it thinks throttle is at wot.

So I need to replace the tp sensoir is thats what its called what ewxactly do I need to replace so I can pick up the part

Tp is throttle position sensor. Located on the throttle body
