1997 Chevy Cavalier 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I have a problem with the engine, when the car was driven the car would sputter at stop lights, had to keep it neutral and give it gas, now you start it and unless you keep giving it gas it will stay on. Am I looking at fuel pump?

Fuel pump or a tune up. Have the pressure checked and see about a tune up. Is there a check engine light on

Yes there is a check engine light on, does that mean it is electrical? Or is it the fuel pump?
