1996 Chevy Cavalier Temperature

I have a 96 chevy cavalier. Just had the head gasket and thermostat replaced but when the car idles for 10-15 minutes the temperature runs about 3/4 instead of half. Is this normal?

Normal is what the vehicle was like before repairs were made, right out of factory specs.

Too hot of a thermostat may have been put in, improper mixture or too little fluid.
