1995 Chevy Cavalier Manual

Hi,
My pop the hood cable is broke in my car, I dont think it is even there now.. how can I pop the hood or what do I need to do to fix it? If a mechanic has to do it is it expensive??? HELP :)

remove the cable from the manual switch(cut it if the switch is broke)and pull it with pliers...you can leave it like that or put a new one in
