Hi, my name is Dustin. I have a '93 Chevy Cavalier. It has ran great. Yesterday, I was working to to raise my exhaust since it was hanging low. Soon after doing so, I went to start my car to move it. It now will turn over and start for a couple seconds idle terribly rough, then after about 30 seconds finally die out. I can hear the fuel pump kicking on when I turn the key. The spark plugs only have approx. 15-20,000 miles. The plug wires are just as new. I also thought maybe it was bad gas since there was a problem lately with the one stations gas. I added dry gas and went to another station and added 5 gallons of gas to the "bad gas". It still does the same things. It's driving me nuts. I need my car severely tomorrow. I am quite knowledgeable about cars but this has me baffled. Thank You for your time and help.

You need to do some testing. Check for spark at each plug. And check for proper fuel pressure.

Since this happened right after the exhaust work, I question the converter. IF it is broken up inside and a piece shifted, it may be blocked. Rap on the bottom of the converter and see if you here any rattling inside. IF so, disconnect the exhaust in front of the converter and see if it runs okay.
