1983 Chevy Cavalier runs in park, dies in drive

The car runs in park but idles rough, I put it in drive and feather the gas pedal it drives but bogs down and dies when I give it gas. New parts I installed. Computer, ignition module, spark plugs and plug wires cap rotor new fuel filter. New thermostat water pump. What a money pit

Have you made sure your fuel pressure is within specification? If you have a service manual, check what fuel pressure your car should have and compare with what you get with your car.
If you have low fuel pressure, your car will do what you describe.
It may not be the problem, but that's what I'd check next before replacing more parts.
