My car is losing power steering from the lower area. It is not any of the lines and appears to be a steady stream from where the pitman arem connects to the knuckle. Do I need to replace the steering gear or is there a bushing in the pitman arm that can be replaced. Again it is coming from the pitman arm connection nut. Would like to know if there are any seals in this area?

The sector shaft seal is is what you'll need to replace

to do this you'll need to remove the pitman arm
then there is a dust boot in the steering gear that needs to be removed.
Right above that there will be a lock ring that also needs to be removed.

From there make sure that there is power steering fluid in the reservoir place a catch pan under the steering gear.
Then start the vehicle and crank the steering all the way in one direction this should force the sector shaft seal out.

All that's left is to install the new seal, lock ring, dust boot and pitman arm
