1982 Chevy Caprice Brake light

When I step on my brake the light on the left taillight comes on but the one on the right comes on but is dimmed. When I have the headlights on and I step on the brake the left side will come on but the right side won't. I just replaced my brake light switch and that is not the problem. So what can it be?

I had a problem 1 time with my instrument lights, when I stepped on the brake my headlights would dim and my instument lights would get brigh, the problem I found was that 1 of my taillights brake filiments broke and fell across the parking light filiments, so check all your bulbs.
