Hello, my name is juan, I live in Argentina, I have a 1980 caprice classic, it ´s in a very good shape but I have some electric problems I can ´t solve, I would really apeciate if you can show me an electric wiring diagram for me to follow it to find the problem.

Hi, your question is too broad. Can you tell us which electrical system? What is the problem?

The problem is when I turn on the headlamps the inside lamps turn on too, but they do it in 6 volts, and the turn lamps turn on too, there ´s a loss of power somewhere, with the wiring map first I can check if everything is original and in its place.

Found this wiring diagram for headlamps. If you rotate the headlamp switch knob can you turn off the interior lites? If there is an interior lamp delay timer, that could be an issue? The better database where I have access, doesn't cover an 80 caprice.

Thank you very much! I ´ll see what can I do.
I forgot to ask (may be I ´ts the main problem), can you please tell me wich is the original alternator for my car? The GM part number or any data I will thank, (model, amps needed, etc), so I will repalce it with teh most correct part I can find here.
