I have an oil leak coming out of a circle that is about 1 inch in diamater that is located just above the oil filter (about an inch and a half). Although I don't know what this part is. The car is a 2001 Camaro 3.8L V6. I believe it is engine oil.

Oil is coming out of the hole, not sure why or how. Just wondering what the issue may be.

Thank you
robert

Thanks, although I recently had no oil pressure coming from the oil pressure sending unit. And low and behold thats exactly what it was. The sensor broke off somehow a couple days ago. And eventually yesterday it blew through it. Replaced it and did a quick oil change and filter replacement. Everything is ok though.

Thank u for your reply.
