1994 Camaro Transmission Failure

I have been told that my transmission is torn up. My '94 camaro will crank and run, but when I go to put it in a gear it dies out. I have also been told that if my transmission fluid doesnt smell burnt then its obviously still good. And also been told that it may be a sensor on it that has went out. If at all you can help me out please do! (Its a v.6, automatic)

Hmmm, unfortunately, your description of your problem is much too vague for anyone to diagnose it. I would have to physically witness it, in order to properly diagnose this problem. HOWEVER, I have never seen a failed automatic transmission cause the engine to stall. EVER. Sounds to me like someone is trying to sell you a bill of goods. Get a second opinion. Good luck.
