1991 Chevy Camaro Why

Why is it when I am sitting at a light and I got to give it gas to take off fast it almost dies the it takes off what cause that? And my check engine light comes on when I start my camaro after 10 seconds of it being off. What cause that? Thanks Derick

Clean the throttle plate on both sides with choke cleaner and change the fuel filter. On the ALDL cross A & B with a paperclip and read the codes. Count the flashes, they will repeat 3 times. Like 1 then 2 equals 12, etc. Then come back to the site here and look up OBD1 on codes to see what is setting the light. Your hesitation may be erlated to both of these tings or more.
