1977 Chevy Camaro V8 Two Wheel Drive Manual

Newly rebuilt Chevy 400 engine in this camaro is back firing every time it goes to the #7 cylinder. Waht could this be?

First thing I would check is the adjustment of the intake rocker arm. If the rocker is too tight then the valve will not close fully causing it to backfire through the intake.
