Alright, well my dad has a 1974 Camaro sitting in the garage. I have considered trying to get it running, and I'm not sure if I should try starting it. The battery is completely dead, and it hasn't ran in at least 7 years, any opinions? (I would obviously have to put a new battery in it first if I did)

And you may want to flush the coolant system and fuel system clean up everything. Put in some nice premium top of the line gas and put in additives and let it run, you dont know whats bad untill you start it.

Yeah, I mean I wouldn't think too much is bad since its been sitting in a garage, but stuff can still go wrong, sitting or running. Thanks for the advice.

One last thing, the brakes are also seized up on it. You think replace the rotars, pads and drums will be necessary? (Dumb question I know)

If the rotors and everything look good you dont have to replace, take them off and work with the movable parts they should move again.

Also check the rubber parts of the brakes for dry rot where they can leak fluid.

Great news, with some starter fluid and a new battery she started up beautifully. I also believe that the brakes arent seized, and that my father's diagnosis was wrong. Hopefully he'll let me have it as a summer project :D
