Engine Mechanical problem
1967 Chevy Camaro V8 Two Wheel Drive Manual

I did not install the intermediate shaft that connects the oil pump and the distributor before installing the engine in the car. The shaft that I have has a collar on it too thick to drop in from the top of the engine to reach the oil pump. Is there another type of shaft I can use without having to lift the engine and remove the oil pump. The engine is a 1967 427 v8. Please help! Thanks.

OOPS!
Bet you don't forget it again. In short Nope. The collar drops over the pump drive and keeps the shaft from falling off the pump shaft. Without is the shaft won't work.
