I have a 1993 4x4 S10 Blazer. It has 125000 miles on it. It runs fine, strong engine.
The only problem I have with it is every time I make a left hand turn I get a very loud "clanking" noise. It never happens when I make right had turns, only left. It also happens when I hit ditches on the left side as well
I was told it may need a new trans-axel.
The noise sounds like it is coming from the front driver side wheel.
I have no clue what it could be. Any help?

Have the bearingas and cv joint checked on both the left side and right, I have seen a noise in the left front being caused by a bearing in the right side.
