I have 1987 Chaey Blazer. 8 Cyl FI with 145000 mi.

The pull handle cable for the emergency brake broke and I cannot find any reference in the repair manual as to how to fix it.
Can I just get a new cable/handle or does this have to be done in a repair shop?

I forget sometimes aqnd put the brake on. Tough to manually take it off.

Are you talking about the release handle? If so it's only the cable, not real tough to do.

It is the cable/handle used to release the brake.
Cable broke.

Auto shops don't seem to carry the replacement.
Where is best place to obtain one (handle and release cable, and is it complicated to replace?
Thanks
