Changing a wiper motor?

I have a 1998 Chevy S-10 Blazer 4x4, with the 4.3L V6, 4-door, AT. I am having problems with my windshield wipers. When I turn them on to a specific setting, they do nothing, but if I turn the knob backwards for a one time use, it works(sometimes). I was going to replace the wiper motor, but have no clue where it is, or how to change it. Any help would be great.

I have a 97. My wipers would hum on low and not work on high. I would leave them on high and they would eventually turn on. My motor was on the middle of the fire wall at the top. Mechanics make it sound easier to change then it really is. It is not easy to change unless you have small agile fingers and hands. Three bolts held mine on. The top two were easy but the bottom one was a pain. I dropped the bolt in the engine compartment twice and had to send for help because I could not find it. After installing the motor theyoun have to adjust the blades. Only attempt this if you are mechanically inclined or know someone who is.
