'98 Blazer Turn Signal Problem

I have a '98 Blazer with about 85,000 miles on it. It's a V6 and the turn signal "clicks" intermittenly even when the turn signal is not engaged. It works fine when it is engaged, but then comes and goes with no rhyme or reason whenever I drive. I replaced the flasher unit but it still does this. Any ideas?

Check to see if your brake lights work. If not, and your 3rd brake light does, its your multi-function switch on the steering column. These were covered under recall. Just call your local dealer, give them your vin, and they can tell you if it has been replaced. Best of all its free.
