Thanks for your quick response on how to replace the alternator, but which bolt is the tension release for the belt.I tried loosening the pully below the alt. But I didn'nt get any response. I next thought maybe the smaller pully next to the alt but not sure. Thanks in advance.

Pull on the belt. You will see one pulley move up and down. There is a spot in that pulley for a ratchet head to fit in. Rotate that pulley to lessen the tension on the belt, then just slide the belt off the alternator, leaving it on the other pulleys to make it easier to put back on.
