2000 Chevy Blazer V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic

I resently put rear brake pad on a 2000 chevy blazer, and the drivers side rear makes a noise and when you drive it the rear wheel will get very very hot?

Does it feel like either the caliper is sticking or the parking brake is locking up

It sounds like something is rubbing and the wheel heat up really hot, when you release the emergency brake it feel like the come off.

Does the surface of the rotor look like it is getting hot

I have'nt took it back apart yet, but every thing is really hot, and smells.
