2000 Chevy Blazer fuel tank pressure sensor

2000 Chevy Blazer 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic 107k miles

I have a 2000 Chevy S-10 blazer with 107k miles on it. The service engine soon light comes on periodically and then it will go off. I ran a diagnostics check on it and it says the feul tank pressure sensor is deffective. Where is that located and how do I go about replacing it?

It is located on top of the gas tank. You must drop the tank to access it. BUT WAIT ! This problem may also be a bad gas cap. I would change the gas cap before dropping the tank. Let me know how you make out--
