1999 Chevy Blazer No gas going to motor

I have a 99 blazer and my friend ran it out of gas a week or two ago and now I cant get gas to come to the motor! I changed the fuel filter and still nothing. Does this model have a emergency fuel switch that u have to press if you are in a wreak or run out of gas? Please help me!

No it doesn't have a fuel cut off switch its not a Ford.

Start by checking the fuel pressure to confirm that the fuel pump is working-Do you hear the pump when you turn key to On?

No I dont. Does that mean its my fuel pump and I dont have any pressure on the gas lines

Find the fuel pump connector and check for power there-if its there -the fuel pump when southbound
