I have a 98 blazer. When it idles the pressure runs @ 25psi as soon as you give it some gas it jumps up @ about 2000 rpms its @ 80. Any high and the gauge is buried. Now I haven't checked it with a mechanical gauge yet. And I didn't change the pressure switch. This problem seem to happen all of a sudden. What would make the pressure run so high. Usually if the oil pump goes the pressure runs low. So i'm stumped. Any input would help

It could be just your sensor, but have a mechincal gauge installed on it to make sure the pressure is normal. Let me know what you find and ill see what I can do to help

Yes hook it up at the oil pressure sensor area. The psi you said should be close to where you want it
