My blazer has been idling very rough, and it dies a lot. I've tried fuel injector cleaner, a bottle of Heat. It smells like fireworks so I had my catalatic converter cleaned and it still dies and smells as well as idles. Please help me. I'm not very car smart when it comes to problems and guys want to either over price me or tell more things are wrong with it than there actually is. Being female and not having "car smarts" sucks. Please help me.

Do you have a check engine light and when was the last tune-up?

Clean out the idle air control valve and EGR valve then test the throttle position sensor and manifold absolute pressure sensor to include a fuel pressure check if its within specs.
