If you haven't already. You should try looking at the pin that activates the overhead light when the door is open. There is one on both the driverside door and the passenger door as well. You can get a real good look at with the door open. The plastic housing may be cracked and not working so in turn the vehicles computer will think the door is always open causing your interior light to stay on.
