Did alot of work to blazer. New CPI, nut kit, plugs, wires, rotor and cap. Still has miss while "cruising" at low RPM's. Can move distributor up and down some while in engine. Think thats the problem, or bad CPI. CPI was aftermarket.

A small amount of dist movement is normal what you need to do disconnect the esc or put it in base timing mode see if the miss is gone if the miss goes away the problem is in the esc if not it is probably the ignition module in the dist. I have seen them many times cause a miss at a certain rpm or at a certain temp most people think that if the ignition module is bad then the car won't start but that is a misconception they can cause a mid range miss. I should have started by asking if you have any codes stored or the check engine light on because if you do then you need to start there and for a few tanks use chevron or shell gas mid grade do not use generic gas it may take two or three tanks to notice a difference but a dirty or sticking injector could also be your problem if you have access to a scanner look at the LTFT or block learn so you know if the engine is running rich or lean rich (block learn below 128 or a Negative LTFT) usually indicates the ignition side Lean (block learn above 128 or positive LTFT) would probably be a fuel related miss let me know what the results are and I can walk you through the rest of the steps

Also forgot to add it has very very poor gas mileage. Cat was hollowed years ago, throws o2 sensor codes, but ran fine up until about a month ago. It does not have ESC, how do I put it into basic time mode?
