1995 Chevy Blazer fuel pump?

My car cuts off after I drive it for an hour sometimes two (sometimes it doesnt cut off) I noticed that I hear a whistle type noise when it gets ready to happen it will start back up after I sit a few min any ideas on what this may be?

A fuel pump is possible but you would have to rig up a fuel pressure gauge so you can drive it and watch the pressure as the problem occurs. This engine is very pressure sensitive.
