My air conditioner compressor has gone bad on my '95 chevy blazer, I have seen metal shavings falling out of it.

Would it be possible to temporarilly, (until I can afford to do it right), bypass the A/C Compressor pulley on the serpentine belt? Would this cause a problem? Would the belt for a '95 Blazer w/o A/C work?

I know how to replace the parts, (compressor, condensor, evaporator etc.) But please understand, I realize this is not the right thing to do, but I need my vehicle, and absolutely can't afford to fix it right now.

Get a belt that will cover the essentials leaving ur smog pump and ac compressor out of the equation. I had done the same thing and its been a couple of years now. By the way since u r bypassing the belt tensioner you will need to work it on there
