I ran out of gas, but after walking to the gas station and putting two gallons in my tank, my '94 chevy s10 blazer still wouldn't start.
I can hear the fuel pump come on when I turn the key and I've tried letting that run a few times before trying to start, but still nothing.
It turns over just fine and will even start for a half a second every once and a while, but only to die right away.

Any ideas?
Thanks,
Wes

Check the fuel pressure if it's within specs.

I only had about 15 psi at the schrader valve and specs say it should be 58-61. Do you think it could be as simple as the fuel filter or does it sound more like the fuel pump?

I was thinking unhooking the filter from the side closer to the engine and using an air compressor to try to blow whatever might be stuck in there out. Do you think that's a good idea?

If the injectors, fuel pressure regulator and fuel pump check valve are not leaking replace the fuel pump that's way too low of a pressure
