I left my Dome light in my car on all night and my car wouldn't start. I knew my batter was dead but I went to try if maybe it would start I didn't get a response. So I tried using a portal-able battery jumper that didn't work and jumping it with anther car didn't work ea their. I just installed a new alternator a few months ago and my battery is "new" 5 months old. The battery has power because all my electrical systems come on head lights CD player digital dash and so fourth so I am pointing my head towards the starter because my car isn't getting any turn over so I was wondering is their any other issue it could be before I go jack my car up in this 10 degree weather

Try tapping on the starter while someone turns the engine over. Let me know what happens.

Broke what bolts loose? Did you get it to turn over by tapping on the starter?
