1992 Chevy Blazer cranks but no fire

1992 Chevy Blazer 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

I am looking at a s10 blazer for my girlfriend the car salesman said that it fired up and ran fine the day before her dad drove it said it died out a couple times while he was driving it. Nwo we went and looked at it the next day and it would turn over fine exactly how it would to fire up but no fire I need some suggestions.

Need to check for spark
if no spark check fuses
check coil suspect module
check it for tune up
check for fuel and if fuel pump coming on
can you hear it when key 1st turn on

Thanks for the information but we fixxed the problem it was the control module
