I have a 91 beretta with a 2.2L engine in it. Two of the spark plugs are not firing. It is cylanders 1 and 4. I have checked the spark plugs and replaced the wires. When that didn't fix the problem I replaced the coil pack that runs these two plugs and still no change. So then I took the coil pack from the 2 and 3 plugs off and put the old one from the 1 and 4 in that place to see if it would fire in this place and it did. So neither of the coil packs were bad. I had the control module tested and it checked good. What else could be killing only 2 of the cylanders and not affecting the other two?

Check the CMP and CKP sensors- one tells the firing positon the other is the position of the piston and engine speed to the computer/PCM, or a wiring problem-if its not them blame it on the PCM the Brain of the Engine Management Systems.

Good LUck

Did you check for power on the connector before you changed the CPS.
