I seem to be loosing coolant someplace and its not on the ground. My temperature gauge goes about 1/2 to 3/4 of the way up and sit there for a little while then go down to about 1/4 to 1/2. I thought maybe it could be a blown head gasket but there isnt any sign of coolant in my oil and it doesnt smell like there is any it either. Could it still be the head gasket or what else could it be?

If there's no actual leaking the coolant is being burn in the combustion chamber-

Get the cooling system block and pressure tested to rule out a blown headgasket cracked head or block
