The brakes on my Av. Stink! I have even gone the extra to install drilled and slotted rotors. With new brake pads, they are adequate. Down the road a bit and they get pretty bad.
I am getting ready to buy a boat and just want to ensure the best braking I can.
I plan on taking the truck to the dealer before hauling the boat, so what can I ask them to do to check this out?

Hi there,

Thank you for the donation,

Is the pedal high and hard and poor braking, do you have to apply excessive pedal pressure to slow down? If so you may have a faulty brake booster, please advise if this is or is not the case.

You need to apply lots of pressure. The pedal also does go down a bit when Applied.
When going from my truck to another vehicle and I put on the brakes, it seems like I might go through the windshield!

Sounds like a booster problem, have that checked first.
