WHERE ARE THE PLUGS LOCATED AND WHAT ELES SHOULD I DO TO TUNE UP THIS VAN

* The spark plugs are located about 3 -4 inches below the outer edge of the valve cover (on the sides of the engine---they screw into the side of the cylinder head).

* They are just above the exhaust manifolds along the side of the engine (hope these directions help). You have a V-6 engine so there are three spark plugs on each side of the engine. [Follow the spark plug wires from the distributor]

Most tune-ups include replacing the spark plugs, spark plugs wires, distributor cap, distributor rotor, pvc valve, air filter and having the computer scanned for codes. Shops also view engine data (using a scan tool) before and after the tune-up to make sure that sensors are within preset parameters and to check engine timing advance, etc. Some people also include the cleaning of the fuel injectors and throttle body.
