Your a bit vague when youask will the motor flush out sufficiently enough to last with new gasket.

What are you asking?

Id put in an identicle engine from the same year and model vehicle that way you dont have to modify no engine control components.

I was told by some people that once the bearings got contaminated by antiefreeze that the motor would never last very long. Others have told me different.

That depends if the bearings started to rust.

How much water was in the oil? How long it sit like that? The only thing that would damage the bearings would be the diluted oil from the antifreeze causing it to wear faster. Or if it rusted it will shorten the life.

But antifreeze will not cause the bearing to loose life.

Flush it and you should be good to go.
