Sometimes when brakes are applied it seems that the va n does not want to stop. The brake pedal gets hard to push down almost not stopping van. Could it be a speed sensor problem or what?

Pedals hard to push in sometimes? I would check for damage in the brake booster since the pedal is hard to push.

Or does the pedal go all the way down with little difference in braking power.
