The auto lock buttons on the driver and passenger door do not unlock the driver and passenger door locks. They will unlock the rear door and the side sliding door. The locks in the front will sound like they are locking or locking the first time I press the button, but after that they don't sound like they are even trying to unlock or lock. I tried using the remote to unlock all the doors, but it just unlocks the side and rear, just like the button on the door. Can you let me know where to start looking to fix this?

This is super common for a lot of GM's. The door lock solenoids are like little motors that move back and forth to unlock/lock the doors. Both of them have failed and will require replacement.

It is a job that requires some good hand dexterity and torx bit sockets. Give it a try if you'd like or the old manual method of using the key are your two inexpensive options.

Good luck.
