2000 Chevy Astro

My astro has been misfiring, shaking and has been smelling like fuel. The check engine light is on and starts to flash from time to time. I went to get the codes at the auto parts, but it says that it is disconnected, so they said the computer is not good because they couldnt get a reading. If this is so where is the computer locted in my astro.

Welcome to the forum, was any testing done at the datalink connector? I'd want more info before replacing the computer. My info says vcm is underhood, left side of engine compartment.

Does pin 16 at the datalink connector have voltage? Does pin 4 have continuity to ground?
