My daughter was driving her 96 Astro and hit a very hard bump after which the engine lost power and quit. I have had her check to see if she can hear the fuel pump running when the key is initially turned on and she hears nothing. As far as I have been able to find there is no inertia switch in this model. Do you have any suggestions as to what it could be.

Do any of the lights or the instrument cluster work? Check the connections at the battery, and to be sure it is clamped down. Also inspect any wires that come off the Positive lead and go to the power supplies
