Check it for tune up
check coil
check wires
do a compression test

I'd disable the fuel system, then check for spark at the plugs. If the plugs are gas soaked, you may not be able to use them, use a known good plug or spark tester.

Do you have the cmfi fuel system? Maybe a faulty poppet or injector.

I just wanted to add, that cmfi is an assembly, I don't believe you can replace individual parts. I'd check everything else first.
