When I start the van and put it in drive it sounds as if it is missing especially at a stop sighn or I brake and it kind of pulls a little bit when I accelerate. The engine service light comes on. When I leave the car sitting a couple of hours and then start it up again the light will on and then it will go off. Please help. People are telling me it is the fuel pump and some say it is a senser, sparkplugs. Please help need my car to take kids to school.

Engine running rough or misfiring can be caused by worn or fouled spark plugs, a weak spark (weak coil, bad spark plug wire), loss of compression, vacuum leaks, anything that causes an unusually lean fuel mixture (lean misfire), an EGR valve that is stuck open, dirty fuel injectors, low fuel pressure, or even bad fuel.
